Numbers: The Russian market Q1 2005

Russia, a fast growing market, has reached half a million digicams sold in Q1 2005. The top 5 sellers have close to 50% of the market.

One interesting observation is that the tradtional SLR/film manufacturers lead the way in market share in Russia: Canon has a comfortable lead at 15.84%, Nikon is at #2 with 9.46%, Minolta at #3 with 8.25%, and Olympus barely edges Sony for the #4 spot with 7.12% market share.
